Finally, have helped somebody get a Labour supporting blog up - Though Cowards Flinch - hosted here on the transpero server.
Not sure about the politics of it, but transpero.net was not meant to be about censorship. A long time since I’ve been referred to as “a left winger” by anyone who isn’t a Tory and that gives me a little glow of satisfaction.
So, maybe you too want to launch your Labour supporting blog - if so, get in touch.
HateMyTory.Com is almost a year old and it remains, as far as I can see, the only such political ratings site on the web. Interest in it these days is low - as a quick scan of the stats will show but the marginal cost of running it is very low so I’ll keep it up - it gets the occasional flourish of attention and I have ideas about making it more interactive if I can find the time.
It has occurred to me, though, that it is an excellent way of applying some political pressure in a place like China - imagine if Chinese citizens could vote on which member of the CC or politburo they liked most/least. Pretty poor substitute for democracy, but could be fun.
Any Chinese speaking web hackers who are interested should leave a message!
OK, maybe he shouldn’t be taking the rap for Dave’s lack of judgement - but here’s a little reminder for your mobile phone.
Please note: Your computer may play the video but you’ll probably need to watch it on yout phone to hear the sound.
Please read this about the new Tory Communities spokesperson.
Another plug for the Liberal Democrat Information Service. Maybe you can think of a caption for the photograph….
Read it here.
Now have three people posting there so why don’t you come and join in the fun?
The idea is that a multitude of users from across Britain will be able to contribute to swap tales of Lib Dem mendacity and trickery - as well as the things that work for Labour campaigners taking them on. It’s a conscious attempt to use collaborative software (Drupal in this case) to build a strong resource.
It needs more users to really work and to get the feedback needed to imprve the site and hone the resources provided.
Bet you can hardly contain your excitement. It’s here - well, so long as my ADSL connection holds up.
