What is SEO? This is search engine optimization or, in simple words, website promotion in the issuance of Yandex, Google or Rambler. Unlike other promotion tools, Search engine optimization works with free traffic from search engines (PS). The popularity of this technology is great. In the future, the “untwisted” company in the TOP issuance will be able to attract 60-90% of all traffic in its niche to the site. However, many are afraid of complexity, incomprehensible algorithms for ranking PS and a long implementation period. There are 3 types of SEO like White Hat, Grey Hat, Black Hat but all the Digital Marketing Institute in Delhi are teaching only White SEO as per the Google policy because google Panelise and violated the Black hat SEO.

SEO – what is it and how do SEO works?

Since the advent of SEO, website owners, marketers, and promoters want to know exactly: how do search engines determine which resource is better? Yandex and Google ranking algorithms are stored in seven seals. There are tales that even employees of search services do not 100% know all the nuances of ranking. However, the basic principles of search engines are well known.

The classic Search engine optimization is based on key user queries. That is, Yandex or Google robots search the network for sites with the most relevant search query content. This is the simplest and most obsolete algorithm. Since 2005, search engines

have introduced the concept of relevance. For promotion in the TOP, it became insufficient just to “fill” the page with keywords. So that the site can count on high positions in the SERP, all content must match the request logo creator.

Another factor affecting CEOs is the behavioural characteristics of visitors. In other words, optimized content should engage users, encourage them to stay on the page longer, click on links, comment and be active in every way.

Let us briefly describe what else is included in the website promotion:

Drawing up a semantic core – we select, with the help of special services and programs, a database of key queries on the subject of business;

Technical website optimization. This includes work on compiling the structure of the resource, arranging the title, description, h1-h6 headers, writing useful content, and more;

Internal and external optimization – placement of links, links on the site, work on the authority of the resource on the network;

Monitoring and improving user behavioural factors;

Analytics of results, promotion metrics, implementation of changes based on them.

How to measure the result? The effectiveness of promotion can be controlled using two indicators:

The position of the site in the search results for a specific request. Just enter the word or phrase that we’re moving along and find the page in the search results. It is very important to remember the SEO takes time to show the results. Depending on the niche, website promotion in TOP 20, 10, 5 may take from 3 to 12 months. This is subject to a professional approach.

Traffic from search results. For analytics, free Yandex. Metrical and Google Analytics statistics services are used. With their help, you can determine the source of traffic, as well as the most popular user requests.

SEO development periods

The history of Search engine optimization can be divided into Five large periods from the 1990s to 2019.

Birth of SEO: The computer boom in the 90s of the last centuries, the emergence of the global Internet pushed the development of search engines. The developers had a question, by what criteria should the site be selected for delivery and how to rank resources? Experts have chosen a breakthrough technology for that time. Robots counted search queries in page texts and determined the places of sites in the results by their number. Until 1998, many believed that SEO promotion was spam as key queries. For example, at that time it was possible to find sites in the TOP 10 with texts like: “Buy sneakers St. Petersburg, price.” Monstrously non-informative content scared users away.

Reference boom: Since 1998, Google has introduced a link ranking algorithm that is familiar to all SEOs – PageRank. The essence of the innovation was that the page rank was determined by counting links to the resource. That is the more links to the site from other reputable sites, the better for promotion. A year later, Yandex introduced its own index – TIC, which determined the credibility of Internet resources by their quality and the volume of the link mass. Until 2009, SEO developed exponentially. Agencies for website promotion multiplied, sales and link exchange services expanded. Companies with large budgets for the promotion of 100% were in the TOP issuance.

Machine time: Since 2009, Yandex and Google, as the two main search engines, began to introduce machine learning algorithms. Yandex developers created Matrix net, a machine algorithm that itself builds ranking formulas for a search engine. Link promotion is gradually becoming ineffective.

The fight against link wrapping: Since 2012, search engines have begun to actively fight against link promotion. Google launches the Penguin filter, which blocks sites for poor-quality (wound) links. In 2014, Yandex removed the link factor from the ranking of commercial requests. A year later, the Minuses filter was launched. The algorithm quite accurately searched for sites with twisted links and lowered them in rank. Thus, link promotion – as an independent method – has become meaningless.

Integrated SEO: Since 2016, the era of website promotion begins through their comprehensive development. What does this mean? The TOP host’s sites with useful content for users, convenient usability, high-quality and understandable design. The promotion is influenced by behavioural factors, social signals, high-quality (live) links, technical optimization and more. Only about 900 factors. Only comprehensive promotion can guarantee a high position in extradition.
